How we work

What actually happens when you place an order

Sourcing claims are easy to make, so here is the process behind ours: the seven stages every order runs through, and who is accountable at each one.

  1. 01

    Your brief

You tell us the product, specification, quantity, target price and destination. If a specification is not settled yet, we help you write one buyers and factories can both work from.

  2. 02

    Factory shortlist

We match the brief to manufacturers in our network by capability, category and capacity, then shortlist the ones genuinely equipped to make it, not simply the ones available.

  3. 03

    Sampling and approval

Samples are produced against your specification and sent for review. Nothing moves to bulk until you have approved a physical sample as the production standard.

  4. 04

    Pricing and order confirmation

Costings, lead times and payment terms are agreed in writing before production is booked. Our commission is included in the price you are quoted.

  5. 05

    In-line and final inspection

Independent inspection on the ground against your approved sample, in-line during production and again pre-shipment, to your agreed AQL.

  6. 06

    Compliance and documentation

Certification evidence, social and technical compliance, labelling, packing lists and full export documentation prepared for your market's requirements.

  7. 07

    Freight and delivery

Consolidation, freight booking, customs documentation and delivery to your destination, with the GSP+ duty position reflected in your landed cost where it applies.

  8. One accountable partner, start to finish

The same team stays with your order from the first brief to delivery, so there is one point of contact and one party answerable for it.

Hotel linen and towelling for a European hospitality supplier

A worked example of a complete sourcing engagement, from the buyer's first brief to delivered goods, with the volume, the schedule and the result set out in full.

Representative engagement. The figures below set out how an order of this type runs, using the specifications, inspection standards and lead times we actually work to. They illustrate a typical engagement rather than a single named client's order.

Order volume

24,000 pieces

Across six product lines, split by size and colourway

Timeline

14 weeks

Brief received to goods delivered in the buyer's market

Outcome

Shipped in full

Passed final inspection at AQL 2.5 and cleared on GSP+ terms

The schedule, week by week

  1. Week 1

    Brief and factory shortlist

Specification, quantities, target landed price and delivery window agreed. Three mills shortlisted on terry and sheeting capability, certification status and free capacity in the required window.

  2. Weeks 2 to 4

    Sampling

Samples produced against specification across all six lines, with alternative GSM and construction options presented where they improved cost or durability.

  3. Week 5

    Approval and costing

Physical samples signed off as the production standard. Costings, lead time and payment terms agreed in writing, with commission included in the quoted price.

  4. Weeks 6 to 11

    Bulk production

Production booked and run against the approved sample, with an in-line inspection at roughly the halfway point so any deviation is caught while it is still correctable.

  5. Week 12

    Final inspection and documentation

Independent final pre-shipment inspection to AQL 2.5, followed by certification evidence, labelling checks, packing lists and full export documentation.

  6. Weeks 13 to 14

    Freight and delivery

Consolidation and freight from Port Qasim, customs documentation prepared for entry, and delivery into the buyer's market.

For Pakistani manufacturers

Should you join, and what do you get back?

Membership is a two-sided product, so here is the supply-side answer, in plain terms.

You are put in front of real demand

Members sit in the supplier pool we source from when a buyer sends us a live brief, so enquiries come to you matched to what you actually make.

You are represented, not just listed

A directory listing waits to be found. We put your capability to buyers directly, and stay accountable for the order once it lands.

You become easier to buy from

We work with you on the things that lose orders: specification, certification evidence, labelling, packaging, documentation and export readiness.

You start at the level that suits you

Three tiers, Basic, Professional and Premium. A first-time exporter can start small and move up as the return justifies it.

How we are paid

We are paid in two ways, and both are agreed up front.

  • Membership fees, from suppliers

Pakistani manufacturers and exporters pay a membership fee, tiered as Basic, Professional or Premium, covering their place in the supplier pool we source from and the services attached to that tier.

  • Commission, on orders we source

On orders we source or broker for international buyers, we earn an agreed commission. It is included in the price you are quoted, so there is no separate charge on top.

Membership pricing is provided on request, and any commission is agreed in writing before an order is placed.

The three tiers, side by side

Each tier includes everything in the one before it. Pricing is on request.

Raw material

It starts in the cotton field

Pakistan is one of the world's leading cotton producers, the raw material behind its bedding, linen and apparel. That homegrown cotton, and the spinning and weaving built around it, is why Pakistan ranks among the world's top-ten textile exporters.
